Koh Tao – Diving Day Nr. 3

This day is the first day Ari and me go to the same boat at 7 o’clock in the morning. She does her last two dives before she will be PADI Open Water certified and I got a new divemaster for my two fun dives: Dean. It was amazing going to dive with Gal the two days before but now we are only a group of two, Dean and me.

The first dive is at “White Rock”. The visibility was very good and we saw some Travelly, Shrimps, Blue Spotted Sting Rays and other things. And we met Ari’s group in the water just before ascending. Some weird underwater creatures 😉

The second dive is at “Hin Pee Wee”. The big attraction here is the wreck of the “HTMS Sattakut”, a ship sunk for a dive site in 2011. He visibility was not that good around the wreck but for this it seemed more mysterious what was really nice! In he end of the dive we found a little scorpion fish which was sitting almost invisible inside a sea shell.

Back on the boat we met Ari’s group with instructor Shelly just finished the open water dive course. Congratulations for this to: Ari, Marloes, Steve and Courtney!

Back at Sairee Cottage we filled our log books and took some beers to celebrate the new PADI open water certified divers!

For lunch we were looking for some seafood and decided to go to “Barracuda Restaurant & Bar” which seems to be one of the best according to tripadvisor and other recommendations. Luckily we met Justin, one of my dive buddies these days, who just got a table for him and his wife (she also finished open water the same day, congratulations!). The restaurant was full and the waiting time for a table about an hour or more. We could join them as the had two free chairs at their table! It was nice to see this nice people again as they left the next day.

We enjoyed the really good food and had a funny evening with good conversations!
